As much as I love working digitally, on occasion I do like to work traditionally. As in this case above where I created a pencil sketch for a Hard Rock cafe Detroit lapel pin, which needed to represent Detroit Base Ball as well as a sexy rock vibe for Hard Rock cafe. This sketch was eventually approved and I inked it in Illustrator before it was sent to a graphic artist who set up the mechanical to be sent to China for production. As soon as I get a chance I'll include a picture of the digital art as well as a photo of the pin so that you can see the whole process from start to finish.

NBX ROCK PIN CONCEPT
The fallowing sketches were done as concepts for Disney Shopping for a RocknRoll pin set but were never used. Each character took 2-5 min to sketch and were done using Sketchbook pro. The art looks crudely drawn because they are quick thumbnails roughly the same size of the actual final pin. This helps knock out the composition as well as fine details that would get lost in final production.

HAT GIRL
The previous two images were drawn using a program called Sketchbook Pro. It is a great program for illustrators, cartoonists, and animators, and i use it for about all of my professional work. To give you a 'little back story ' as it were, my name is Keith Fulmis I'm a professional cartoonist and illustrator and this is my first blog site so bare with me as for the next few days I will be posting samples of my work and talking more about who I am and what I do and how I do it. So here we go!
